Service Notes For Wednesday Texas 2019-01-16

SPEAKERS:

  • Rick Eutsler Jr

SCRIPTURES USED:

  • Philippians 3:1-4:1, Matthew 7:7-12, Luke 14:26, Matthew 7:24-29, Romans 9:26

SUBJECT:

  • How do you get better at things?  Practice.  Your walk with the Lord is a process. You have a lot to learn and need to practice.
  • You need to have no confidence in yourselves and all confidence in Christ.  Jesus is THE ONE and He is all you need!  If you have Him, you have everything.
  • Jesus is not something you add to your life, you put your life down and live His life.  It’s all or nothing.
  • Doing the will of the Lord doesn’t come naturally, ask the Lord for the ability to do His will and He will give it to you.
  • Do you fight to hold onto the things you should count as dung, like Paul the Apostle counted all he had ever learned or attained as dung?  What is more valuable to you?  Count all the things of this world as dung so that you may win Christ.
  • Most people build their lives on the things of this world which are not sure, and reject the only thing that is sure which is Christ.
  • When you commit to no confidence in yourselves, it is a purging of the pride in your heart.
  • The only righteousness available is through God, you cannot get it anywhere else.
  • God’s grace and mercy is limitless to the humble.
  • If you put on the mind of Christ there will be no conflict, there will only be a perfectly functioning body of Christ.
  • The Lord didn’t leave you guide-less, you have His ministers as lighthouses so you can find the way to Christ.
