SUBJECT:

  • Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  You should seek Him first everyday.  Everyday is an opportunity to learn His ways and walk in the fullness and goodness of Christ.
  • The carnal man is always seeking it’s own righteousness.  It has none.
  • Jesus’ blood didn’t cover your sin, it took it away.  He takes it away, it is no longer there. 
  • Why do you serve God?  Do you serve Him because He’s good and you love Him?  Do you serve Him to check off a box and earn your way into heaven?  If you do it because you love Him, the fanfare and recognition doesn’t matter.  If it matters, you need to examine yourself.  If you find that you’ve been serving God for the wrong reasons, that can change.
  • God is not good to us because we deserve it, we don’t deserve it.  He’s good to us because HE is good! 
  • Go to God, not trying to impress Him with your speech.  Be honest with Him, tell Him where you’re struggling.  He understands us better than we do.  His grace is sufficient. 
  • The Lord wants us to know we can trust Him for everything.
  • Where are you laying up your treasure?  In heaven or in earth?  The things of this earth will take you to hell, the things of heaven will lift you up to be able to live for eternity with God in heaven. 
  • This life is temporary, it goes by in an instant.  Part of the deception the enemy plays on you is that you have time to get it right eventually.  Who knows how much time they have? 
  • This world is a self-serving world and it’s reaping what it has sown right now, it’s evident.
  • Do you want to waste the time you have here on things that will come to nought?  Do you want to serve the Lord Jesus Christ for the time you’ve been given here to receive His eternal promise of salvation?  Who are you going to serve?  Who are you going to live for?
  • What’s the proof of your love of God?  Obedience.  What is your faith in?  Is it in Christ or in all manner of other things.  The Lord knows what you need, turn to Him for all your needs.  Seek Him and walk in love.
