South Carolina Sunday Service 2020-08-16

Faithfulness comes in the moment, to get it done faithfully, heartily as unto the Lord. The longer you’re practiced in faithfulness in the small things, the more it shows in all things.

SUBJECT:

  • Are  you not thankful for what the Lord has given and has done? Complaining displeases the Lord, it is the opposite of thankfulness.
  • You only have the moment you are in right now, you don’t have anything else. Choose to take the effort to be in the moment.
  • The Lord promises to direct your path and thoughts, when your heart is to submit to Him.
  • The things of the Lord are more valuable than anything else and yet you forget Him, rather than forgetting things of the world. Recognize you’ve forgotten the things of the Lord, repent and remember Him.
  • Why do you study a thing? To learn, when you are student, are you learning to pass the day and just to get it done? That is living your moments in another time, in another place. Faithfulness comes in the moment, to get it done faithfully, heartily as unto the Lord. The longer you’re practiced in faithfulness in the small things, the more it shows in all things.
  • If you’re only doing things to get them done, you’re missing blessings. You study so you can apply what you’ve learned. Learning doesn’t ever stop. As Jesus’ disciples, after three years of being disciples they became apostles, they were still learning, but they had studied to show themselves approved unto God.
  • Are you a lover of pleasure, rather than a lover of God? If you are it’s because you are a lover of yourself.
  • If all you do is sit with a book and learn but don’t do anything with it, what good are you?
  • The Word boils down to love, love the Lord first with all your heart.
  • The Lord created everything else before man, as a perfect provision for man. Be thankful for the Lord’s provision, now in this moment, it is possible even if it’s not something you prefer.
  • When you apply what you have learned, as the disciples did, you will have a greater knowledge of the Word. Be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. Until you put it to use you don’t have a true knowledge.
