South Carolina Sunday Service 2020-11-29

If you won’t be obedient to authority then you can’t be in authority and minister to others. If you don’t want to be a blind leader of the blind, do what the Lord tells you to do. Come to the place that you don’t want to be blind anymore, that you want to see. Lay your life down and take up the new life divine in Christ. As you obey authority and the Lord shows up your faith in God grows in magnitude and power.

Service Notes For Sunday South Carolina 2020-11-29

SPEAKERS:

  • Steve Atherton

SCRIPTURES USED:

  • John 15:14-15, Joshua 1:16, Matthew 15:7-14

SUBJECT:

  • Obedience is extremely important to the Lord.  Selfishness robs you of the joy of the Lord.  Selfishness is manifested as disobedience.  If you are going to say that you love the Lord and not obey what He says, then you’re a liar. You are not the Lord’s friend if you don’t keep His commandments.
  • If you join God’s army there’s never been a time of peace, it’s always war. Your job will be to go show those who hate Him,  His love.
  • When you love the Lord and want to do whatsoever He says you’ll be in the category of those who are exhilarated and thankful that He would see fit to give those things to you, if you’re not it’ll be a burden to you.
  • Has your walk been one of doing whatsoever He has given you to do? When you operate in Christ Jesus, whom shall you fear? Why would you fear anyone as a believer?
  • Do you have a difficult time seeing the hand of God is people’s lives? If so, He hasn’t shown that to you because you haven’t done what He told you, you are not His friend.
  • Anyone can be a friend of God, being a friend of God is an awesome thing. You can go to Him about everything and He knows how to handle anything and everything.
  • The petty, stupid, idiotic stuff you get hung up on is only hurting you.
  • What about you disqualifies you from being satisfactory to God?  Nothing, you just have to believe Him.  He will take His righteousness and put it on you, you have to realize you are not righteous.
  • When you operate in Christ Jesus you can’t help but rejoice and thank Him. The sacrifice of praise is a militant act. In the midst of a situation you choose to lift your voice because you know He is greater than the situation.
  • As you operate like the children of Israel did in the days of the judges, everyone operating in their own sight, you be blind leaders of the blind. If you start to do those things that the people (who are able to see) tell you to do, then you too will see.
