SUBJECT:

  • Charity suffereth long and Davy sure did that.
  • Receive that which the Lord shared with us through Davy.  It’s been time for us to walk in it for a long time.
  • Davy gets to spend eternity with His creator, he ran the race and now gets to spend eternity with Jesus.
  • Davy was offensive in every way to the flesh.  However, he was undoubtedly anointed by God.
  • Davy gave us something to rejoice in.
  • His epistle is written on Robin’s heart and you can see it.
  • Davy’s testimony was that he served God faithfully unto this day … that was true because he never turned back from serving the Lord, he served him faithfully to the end.
  • Davy never strayed from the gospel given to us.
  • While Davy may be gone, he is still here and we are still able to learn from him through his teachings and one another.
  • The Lord delivers COMPLETELY!
  • Praise God for a REAL family.
  • Davy was a father to many.
  • Davy, or Richard, he answered to both, was a minister for 44 years.  From the day he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, he never wavered from his faith in Jesus Christ.
  • During the brief time he walked away from the ministry, he never stopped loving the Lord.  He didn’t walk away from the Lord, just the ministry.  Davy came under constant condemnation from so-called Christians because he preached and told the truth, he was accused of being the devil.  People who had never met him, had bad things to say about him.
  • Could any of us stand as Davy did in the face of staring down the barrel of a shotgun?  Davy knew he would go to be with the Lord if he died, so he was not afraid of death.
  • Being married to Davy for 33 years, he told Ann many experiences he had.  It was clear that his faith was in Jesus and Jesus was always with him.  That never changed.
  • We are Davy’s legacy, we need to follow his example and speak the truth, not worrying about hurting feelings, and we need to share the gospel wherever we go.
  • Davy will always be remembered and is missed.
