SPEAKERS:

  • Rick Eutsler, Jr.

REFERENCES:

SCRIPTURES USED:

  • 1 Samuel 15, Deuteronomy 11:13, Deuteronomy 28:1, Isaiah 55:2, Jeremiah 17:24, Joshua 9:14, 1 John 2:1

SUBJECT:

  • Saul received counsel of the Lord and did not obey Him.  Saul then said he had done what the Lord had required of him.  Then Saul blamed the people.  He did not hear, receive and do the Word.
  • Hearken diligently.  To hearken means to hear intelligently, with attention and obedience.  To listen and obey.  To have the power to hear.  To hear with attention and interest.
  • If you hearken you will be blessed.  Read the scriptures above and find out more.
  • Seek counsel from those in authority over you, then listen to hear, receive it and do it.
  • Without Him you can do nothing.  You can do a lot of things, but nothing that is pleasing to God.
  • If without Him you can do nothing, then let’s do all things IN Him.  This is walking by faith and obedience.
  • Consequences lead to freedom when the light is shone and there is repentance.
  • Your actions demonstrate who you serve.  Saul served himself.
  • You can help yourself not to end up in Saul’s situation if you seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
  • If you seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then you will diligently hearken to the Lord and honor all men.
  • Saul was supposed to be a servant of God and to the people.
  • In Joshua there were 11 tribes who received a natural inheritance and 1 tribe, the tribe of the Levites that got the inheritance of the Lord.  Which one is better?  Which one do you want?  What do you seek after?
  • Don’t think that you will escape the same judgment of God that Saul did if you don’t take responsibility and repent before God.
  • Jesus was the substitute (propitiation) for our sins.
  • Get alone with the Lord, seek Him and repent before you do anything else or you will forget this message.
