SUBJECT:

  • What is hope, why do you need it?  Hope is the expectation that something good can come out of a crappy situation.
  • When you get into tough situations, where is your hope?  What do you put your hope in?  What do you look to for hope?
  • If man’s heart is only evil continually, is that something you want to put your hope in (putting your hope in man)?  Jesus Christ is our hope, period!  There is hope in nothing and no one else, only in Jesus!
  • Ask yourself some tough questions like:  what type of Servant are you?  If being a Christian is being Christ-like, how well do you do the Word?  How much time do you spend being about the Father’s business?
  • Praise God regardless of how terrible you are, at all those things, there is hope in Jesus!  He promises he will finish the work he has started in you.  We need to see where we’re at, but without condemnation.
  • There are not multiple ways to be saved!  There is one salvation!  Faith, hope, grace, everything we need to receive His salvation are all found in Jesus!
  • Part of your ministry to others is to share the hope of Jesus with them.  The good news is that there is hope.
  • Seek the Lord and get the hope, it is available to all who want it.
  • If we didn’t have hope we would never pray, call upon the name of the Lord, we would not do anything.
  • Are you a prisoner of your past?  That is not of God.  When you run out of hope, you need to choose to yet hope again.  When you are willing to do that, it is evidence of a broken and contrite heart and that’s when God will move.
  • If you put your hope in anything other than Jesus you are foolish and God will not show up.
